Mera Peak (6,476 m) categorized as a trekking peak is a mountain in the Mahalangur section of the Himalaya, south-east of Everest. The trail for Mera peak climbing passes through the excessively beautiful Hinku valley.

Mera Peak Climbing trip starts with an exciting mountain flight to Lukla airstrip. Therefore, from Lukla, we ascend slowly eastward, consequently crossing the Zatra La pass and heading towards Mera La pass on the ninth day.  Finally, at Khare, we make Ice Climbing practice under the guidance of Sherpa climber.

The Climb

Though, it is possible to climb Mera Peak in a single day from the base camp, it’s always better to avoid the rush. Furthermore, we must allow proper rest and acclimatization and subsequently make use of high camp to ensure summit success. Ultimately we ascend the three summits of Mera Peak from where we can enjoy absolutely stunning summit panorama that includes five of the world’s 8000m mountains- Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu Kanchenjunga, and Makalu.

Hence, the best and most suitable time for Mera Peak Climbing is during spring (March to early June) and autumn (September to November). Above all, our highly experienced climbing guides have a proven track record of climbing Mera Peak several times.
