Island Peak or Imja Tse, is one of the most popular trekking peaks in Nepal. From Dingboche, this peak looks like an island in a sea of ice. The summit seems to be attractive with an exceedingly glaciated west face rising from the Lhotse Glacier. This pyramid-shaped mountain itself is a part of the South Ridge of Lhotse Shar separated by a small Col rising to the south. From the South Col, the route heads to the summit of Island Peak.

After a day’s walking from Chhukung, you will reach the Base Camp to prepare for climb and summit the peak. It may take an extra day or two to scale the peak and summit depending on weather conditions. We will endeavor the summit (6,189m) after one night at the High Camp perched on the South West Ridge where you can see the magnificent vistas of the Khumbu area.

Island Peak is easy and common to most of the adventure seekers from the world are willing to attempt it. The journey concludes at Lukla airstrip from where we will fly back to Kathmandu in the morning. The best and most suitable time for Island Peak Climbing is during spring (March to early June) and autumn (September to November). For more detail, please contact us at
