Everest Base Camp trek is truly the most popular of all the treks in the world as it takes you to the base camp which is located just below the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest. It has been a dream for both young and adventurous to set foot on Everest Base Camp at least once in their lifetime. While trekking, you will enjoy the stunningly beautiful scenery, explore the unique landscape with zigzag altitudes, vegetation, culture, tradition and lifestyle of the mountain people. You walk through rhododendron, magnolia and giant forests; visit Buddhist monasteries along the way.

While trekking, you will also see much wildlife around Sagarmatha National Park. Birds like Danfe or Himalayan Monal and Himalayan snowcock and animals like Himalayan Musk deer, Himalayan Tahr, Himalayan Goral, Bharal or Himalayan Blue sheep or Naur

The Trek

The trail meanders through rhododendron forests, fields of barley and apple orchards following up the Dudh Koshi River towards Namche Bazaar where you will stay one extra day for acclimatization and exploring around colourful local market and villages. Then, you head for the high point of the trek-Kalapathar to have a closer view of surrounding peaks like Everest(8848m), Mt Lhotse(8516m), Mt Nuptse(7861m), Mt Amadablam(6812m) and Mt Pumori(7161m). You also get a chance to see Mt Cho Oyu(8188m) and Mt. Makalu(8485m).

You get every opportunity to pass through Sagarmatha National Park (the natural heritage of the world), Namche Bazaar (the hub of attractions of the Sherpa community), an extraordinary viewpoint of Kalapathar and ever exciting Everest Base Camp. The entire Everest region is highly influenced by Sherpa culture, tradition and Tibetan Buddhism. In the region, you can see lots of ancient monasteries.
